To size the chat box, press F11, and you can completely customize your interface.

Default chat box resizing

i went in, pressed f11, couldn't see where to resize the box, asked ppl in the area, got replies like hit x and y ?? or click the corner and drag, tried that wouldn't let me,O.o so at the moment just as a temporary measure, i clicked the speech bubble / chat icon, to remove the window, but was still able to chat, hitting enter, and also when i log i have a party info box, how do i remove that from off the screen, it cant it be removed if ur in an area ? jsut shift it to under the mini map window ??

too big? 0__o

i resized mine to nearly take up the whole screen o__0

hint: use the ~ (tilde button, right above tab, left of 1 key)
this will minimize the chat window, until u press it again

and i wouldnt mess around with the interface too much
i see lots o screenies...and im jus like ewww, thats a horrible interface -__-'

oh, btw click-targetting is pretty horible in gw compared to wow
get used to holding down ctrl or alt and click their names to target stuffs
that or u can be lazy and jus do c+space
tab/shift+tab works fairly well too

By default the "~" button will expand and collapse your chat box. It can be further resized by pressing F11 and going to the Interface tab. Once on that tab you can move around and resize all the info boxes that are normally displayed on your screen as well as to turn off certain boxes. Your Party window, however is not one of them. You can collapse the Party while in an instance though, by pressing the default "P" button.

From the same F11 menu, under the Controls tab, you can also bind the "Target Closest Enemy" to a more convenient key, as well as the "Cycle Targets" if you want an alternative to clicking your enemies.

Its not that bad. You can customize controlls to any button you have including the mouse buttons. All you have to do is to assign thumb and pinkie finger buttons to next and closest foe/partymember.

Perhaps your pressing 'Restore Defaults' instead of just closing the window after making your changes?

Aside from the many trollers that try to make your experience here crap, and some random people who don't help at all, we're generally a really friendly forum who loves to help the new players like you.
